IGCSE Paper Format

There are two papers Paper 1 and Paper 2

Paper 1 Format:

  • Q1 is a comprehension, no sandhi – 30 marks

  • Q2 is a translation – mostly no sandhi – 30 marks

  • Q3 is three simple English to Sanskrit sentences – no sandhi – 15 marks

  • Q4 is a comprehension in sandhi (have a go) – 15 marks

Note For the Mocks: Paper 1 – Focus on questions 1, 2 and 3. Have a go at question 4.

Paper 2 Format:

•Paper 2 – For Mock exams Focus on questions 1, 2 and 3. Do not do Q4.

Q1 is a comprehension, of simple Mahabharata set text – 15 marks

  • Use Study Guide (Page 1 to page 16 for Mahabharata Stories)

  • Use the Work Book

Q2 is about 3 Bhagavad Gita verses – 15 marks

  • Use Study Guide(Page 42 To Page 52 for Gita Shlokas)

  • Use the Work Book

  • YouTube Link for 20 Shlokas

Q3 is Epic Civilisation – 35 marks

  • Use the EPIC Civilisation Book (it is mainly in English and easy)

•Total 155 marks (Mock)

• Q4 Hitopadesha –(25 marks)
